LEARNING LANGUAGUES IN HYPNOSIS (P.A.L.M.)

LEARNING LANGUAGES WITH HYPNOSIS

Often the first obstacle when studying a foreign language is psychological. Even an excellent teacher cannot solve the psychological problems that prevent his or her students from mastering a foreign language. Many students not only lack knowledge of learning techniques, but are also strongly influenced by inferiority complexes and prejudices, such as 'learning a foreign language is difficult', etc. In our consumerist society we are bombarded incessantly with information and stimuli; we cannot pay attention to everything and often as a consequence we are distracted and superficial even with what we care about.

All these and other problems are addressed by the Psycho-Linguistic Activation Method (PALM) devised by Prof. Petr Živný. Thanks to the PALM method, obstacles and psychic blocks that hinder foreign language acquisition can be removed and learning can be accelerated. The strategy adopted by the PALM method is the simulation in hypnosis of the practical application of language knowledge.

PROCEDURE:

We usually devote the first two or three sessions to psychodiagnosis and assessment of language skills. Thereafter, about ten individual hypnotic sessions are offered once a week or more in the case of intensive treatment. The course is individual and therefore modulated according to the level of prior knowledge of the language.
